This has been an interesting independence day/week. I think having the 4th on Wednesday has thrown us off a bit. It seems to have come and gone so quickly. We participated in many of Provo's Freedom Days activities: the chuildren's parade, children's crafts with face painting, the hot air balloon launch, the 5K and our ward breakfast, the grand parade, dinner with family at the brick oven and fireworks of course.
After a few late nights and early mornings, the day after all the festivities my girls slept late into the morning and there were thunderstorms all day. Summer thunderstorms are a favorite of mine, this one was greatly needed, and the best way to spend the day after Independence Day! Check out the back of Hazel's bike.
