☀Crépes & Faith

Any time you mix Faith with Food you have a fabulous time,
at least I think so....

When I was searching for a place to have our YW Personal Progress Kickoff, I was asking my parents for ideas because of some scheduling conflicts. My Mom called me later in the day and said "Why don't you just come here." We had such a wonderful time with the YW at my parents cabin home in Midway. Thank you for letting us invade your home.

For me the highlights were feeling and learning from the Spirit as we discussed gospel principles and of course the crepes (it's true, we made so many I have the recipe memorized, see below) and those omelets, yum.  Thank you Dad for an
awesome breakfast!

If I had it to do again, which I hope we do. I would stay a little longer and go earlier in the year (for some actual snow, for actual sledding, see above). Sorry about that girls. I think they had fun anyway though. I really enjoyed some time to sit and ponder as they attempted sledding (you'll have to ask them about that).

As I pondered I couldn't help but think about the future of our YW. They are so fun, confident and good. They are each talented and bring their own contribution to our group. I came to the conclusion that as long as they know they are daughters of a Heavenly Father, if they know this deep down and feel of His love and hope for them and their future, then they will know how treasured they are.

"You are a beloved daughter of Heavenly Father, prepared to come to the earth at this particular time for a sacred and glorious purpose." -The First Presidency (Here is the latest news for the YW.)

Recipe for Crépes:
2 C flour
4 T sugar
1/2 t salt
2 eggs
3 C milk

Whisk together, oil pan or griddle & cook those babies up. Then enjoy with these possible toppings (skies the limit really). Nutella, sliced banana, jam, honey, really any sliced fruit, powdered sugar & lemon, nuts, whipping cream, syrup, did I miss anything... my mouth is watering...

I had so much fun and felt so uplifted by being in your presence and the presence of these remarkable YW and their other leaders. Your parents home was the perfect place for Personal Progress and fun! I'm so glad we did it! I can't wait to make the crepes for my kids...I already made some omelets. They weren't as good as your dad's, though. Here's to doing it next year!
