She finally arrived!!!

She was the first baby born at the hospital and weighed in at
9 lbs. 10 oz.
She is 22 inches long
and sleeps like a log most of the time.
She has the longest fingers I have ever seen on a newborn
and reminds me quite a bit of Maren as a baby.

The name Hazel is a family name, but even more significant is that she is named after her great-grandmother who lives in Switzerland, the Grossmueti I lived with, Margrit Prohaska. We hope and pray that our daughters Maren and Hazel will be strong women of faith as the women they are named after. We love our two beautiful girls.

I had no idea that Hazel was that big when she was born! Love her name--my maternal grandmother's name was Hazel--great woman! What a wonderful middle name you have given her--something to cherish. Both of your daughters are beautiful, just like their mother!
