Birthdays are a special time to be with family.
It dawned on me that even though Barett has a birthday near Christmas, that we should probably still decorate a little even though all the Christmas decor is out. So we busted out the party box with the hats and fancy necklaces. One of my favorite things to decorate with are punch balls {from the dollar store} they are fun and like huge balloons, you can use them multiple times and the kids love playing with them.
For this birthday boy we had breakfast at Kneaders, then went for a walk around the mall and Deseret Book {to work off some of breakfast}, he went for a bike ride, Maren and Grama made a super fun candy cake with some of his favorites, he opened presents {or the girls opened his presents for him}... whew.
He also received a beautiful painting for his Bishop's office along with some carolers from the ward who sang Happy Birthday. It was a fabulous day! I can write that because that's what he said.
